The development of the dog mechanism for the company "GetPuppy" included a complex mechanical design of the eating sensor system that causes the large dog's belly to grow, simulating weight gain. It also included eye movement to mimic blinking, tail wagging from side to side, and of course, the birth mechanism of the small puppy, which can also grow from feeding. To inflate the dog's belly, different sensors were needed when it "eats" from the plate.
The dog's food plate contains a hidden air pump, which inflates the balloon located in the dog's stomach. The birth mechanism was a challenge because the small puppy needs to enter into the abdominal cavity of the large dog, with the rest of the mechanics, while maintaining the same feeding mechanism for the small dog. During the "nursing" of the small dog by its mother, using air pressure, we created a small dog whose belly grows as a result of balloon inflation.
